This is the first single off Darren Hanlon's forthcoming album Where Did You Come From? (March 2015).

When You Go was recorded early in the journey at Electraphonic Recording, in Memphis TN, by Scott Bomar, who is renowned for his soundtrack work with Memphis film maker Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow, Black Snake Moan) as well as being the instigator of the band The Bo-Keys, made up of former legends of the Hi Rhythm Section and Stax Records sessions.

The B-side My Love Is An Ocean Away a gentle folk band reading of one of the solo album tracks, was recorded by Nashville's Andrija Tokic, who was thrust into the spotlight after the Alabama Shakes hit LP which he produced in his home.

It gave him the capital to build a new great studio (much to his girlfriend's relief) to house all his gear, and that is where both these songs were mixed.
